In 2022 I received a certificate for the development of critical praxis in contemporary choreography and performance making, with a focus on the Asian context; as part of certificate distance-learning programme with Dance Nucleus, Singapore. This opportunity was supported by Critical Path & Readymade Studios, Australia
CP[3] is a virtual program facilitated by Singaporean dance organisation Dance Nucleus. Through this program I was able to receive the support and mentorship of Daniel Kok, Nanako Nakajima and Luke George; to whom this research would not have been the same without.
2022 was the second edition of this program for Critical Practice in Contemporary Performance that Dance Nucleus facilitated. It was a 7-month distance-learning programme for the development of critical praxes in contemporary choreography and performance making, with a focus on the Asian context, which brought together practitioners from all over Australia, Asia and the Great Ocean regions. My reflections from this program on my own practice comprise a large majority of my PhD exegesis, including my shift in focus towards familial connection and knowledge.
